A three-day intensive study of Intimacy for Stage and Screen by the founder of Intimacy Directors International Tonia Sina! She will be joined this year by another IDI instructor Claire Warden!www.intimacydirectorsinternational.com
During this intensive you’ll get an overview of numerous aspects of this work. We encourage all roles in the profession (actors, directors, stage managers, etc) to attend.
In this intensive, you’ll explore specific acting techniques and exercises to access this subtle and specific work. “Intimacy” in a performance context evokes images of kissing and sexual acts. But the term “Intimacy” also refers to the closeness between dear friends, family, old enemies, and addressed during scenes of sexual violence. Details in choreography keep you connected to your scene partners, both emotionally and physically while respecting personal boundaries. A portion of each day will be devoted to scene work where actor-participants can practice the rehearsal process, and director-participants can observe how these specialists approach this material.
Registration will stay open until 1/4/19 so claim your spot while you can!!!
Early bird pricing: $25 off until 11/15/18~
